Eagles RT Lane Johnson week-to-week with high ankle sprain

The Philadelphia Eagles kept their playoff hopes alive with their win on Monday Night Football against the New York Giants. "It is a little bit more significant with him and then we have to do a course of action with him pretty soon".

As bad as it sounds, fans watching the game seemed to have a good idea right away that Jeffery's injury was most likely season ending due to the receiver's reaction to the injury alone.

Jeffery was hurt early in the next quarter, when we pulled up lame when heading out on a pass pattern. "I am waiting on one more test result later this afternoon".

The Eagles now have three receivers on the practice squad -- Marcus Green, Robert Davis, and Marken Michel - and each could be in the mix to be promoted for Sunday's game at Washington.

Right tackle Lane Johnson is week-to-week with a left high-ankle sprain, while wide receiver Alshon Jeffery's season is reportedly over with a foot injury.

Mizzou hiring Appalachian State's Eli Drinkwitz
When Gus Malzahn left Auburn to become head coach at Arkansas State in 2012, Drinkwitz came along with him as running backs coach. Appalachian State's previous head coach, Scott Satterfield , was hired at Louisville last offseason.

"That one's still up in the air", Pederson said. Tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai stepped in for Johnson to finish the game. He missed the Giants game with a knee injury he suffered in the Dolphins game a week ago, and Pederson said there's no guarantee he'll be ready to play against the Redskins.

"Just like we came and got out of the game yesterday with Big V getting work there", Pederson said.

With Jeffery out and Agholor's status unknown, the Eagles have just two healthy wide receivers - J.J. Arcega Whiteside and Greg Ward, who have 19 combined career catches. Pederson also mentioned that rookie Andre Dillard could continue cross-training while Matt Pryor is also available.

Complicating matters is the continued absence of Nelson Agholor, the Eagles' other starting wide receiver.

"We definitely have a couple guys on practice squad if we have to make a move", Pederson said.
