UP again: Woman shot when she stopped dancing, captured on cam

In a shocking incident in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, a dancing girl was shot in her jaw at a wedding function where she was hired to perform.

In the one-minute lengthy video, a guy, evidently intoxicated, is heard saying: "Goli chal jayegi (shots would be fired)" following the woman stops dancing.

The incident took place on either November 30 or December 1, when two dancers were seen performing on stage in Tikra village at the wedding of headman Sudhir Singh Patel's daughter. The dancer was later taken to the hospital.

Senior police officer Ankit Mittal stated,"We are trying to arrest the accused".

Speaking to the media the eye witness and co-dancer said "While we were dancing a man asked us to stop".

This video is from UP's Chitrakoot.The girl was acting at a marriage and was shot by a person, probably drunk, as a result of she stopped after the music system improvement a glitch.

She was reportedly hit on the chin. The victim was immediately rushed to a local hospital and was then referred to the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow.

Apart from the woman, the groom's maternal uncles, Mithilesh and Akhilesh who were on the stage were also injured in the firing, police said. "Soon, he will be arrested".
