First Wonder Woman 1984 Trailer Brings Diana Into a New Era

Patty Jenkins" "Wonder Woman' featuring Gal Gadot in the titular role received a lot of appreciation and love from all over the world.

The first trailer teaser of Wonder Woman 1984 was released by Warner Bros. on Saturday. Directed and co-written by the returning Patty Jenkins, the highly-anticipated sequel is finally ramping up its promotional campaign after the DCEU chose to skip this year's San Diego Comic Con. Nevertheless, Jenkins, who introduced the trailer at Brazil's CCXP this afternoon, promised that the former WWI soldier was included not as "a gimmick", but as an integral and natural part of the story. At one point it looks like she uses her lasso to swing like Spider-Man from a bolt of lighting? Near the end of the trailer, Diana debuts her new golden armor, as seen in the previously released posters.

Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman's next big screen adventure finds her facing an all-new foe: The Cheetah. And it is both everything we've been waiting for and more than we imagined. "It's a visual experience".

I'm incredibly proud and honoured to receive this trophy on behalf of everyone in Brackley, Brixworth and Stuttgart. It's not going to be easy, but we're going to go for it.

Patty Jenkins returns as director for Wonder Woman 1984, co-writing the screenplay with long-time DC Comics writer Geoff Johns and screenwriter David Callahan. The quick 30-second teaser trailer shows off some pretty awesome action scenes of Wonder Woman doing what she does best, protecting the innocent and battling the guilty. "She's helping mankind and saving them - until something insane is about to happen to her".

What do you think about the Wonder Woman: 1984 trailer? "It all came quite naturally".

Wonder Woman: 1984 will hit theaters on June 5, 2020.
