Blitzbokke to face off against New Zealand in the Dubai Cup Final

This year's World Rugby Sevens Series has adopted a new format where those finishing first and second in the pools proceed to Cup quarter-finals with the rest being paired in classification matches depending on their performances.

Fiji's downfall was a 24-21 loss to Argentina, who capitalised on a yellow card for Vilimoni Botitu to work Matías Moroni over with the final play of the game and cause the shock of the day at The Sevens Stadium in the United Arab Emirates city.

Fiji will now face Canada in the 9th place play-off.

The South Africans scraped past Argentina 12-5 in the quarter-finals before routing Samoa 38-7 in the semi-finals.

The All Blacks Sevens went on to win the game 40-7 and finish top of Pool C, having previously beaten Canada 31-7 earlier in the evening.

Samoa arrests anti-vaxxer amid measles epidemic
Babies are the most vulnerable to measles, which usually causes a rash and fever, but can also cause brain damage and death. United States anti-vaxxers are reportedly swamping Samoan government websites with material described as "nonsense".

In the women's draw the Fijiana will meet New Zealand in the quarterfinals despite dropping their opening match of the tournament to Australia.

A two-time champion in Dubai since it joined the world series 20 years ago, Fiji lost to Argentina 24-21 after leading 21-12, then beat France 24-14 but not by enough in their last pool match.

Chris Dry and Seabelo Senatla scored two more tries for South Africa in the second half.

South Africa led 5-0 at halftime.

Ahead of the pool decider both teams came together to pay tribute to those affected by the measles epidemic in Samoa. However, Nelson Oyoo's try set up a nervous finish and try as they might, Kenya couldn't find that try to give them at worst a draw with England relieved to kick the ball out for the final whistle.
