Odell Beckham Jr.: 'I never said I was not happy' in Cleveland

After making a few vague comments regarding his future with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, the wide receiver took to Twitter Friday morning and addressed the chatter surrounding him.

To be fair, no one really said that Beckham said he wasn't happy in Cleveland, as Beckham did not, in fact, say that. So honestly, any [discussion about] what's the future hold, I don't know that. My locker is correct beside concept to be one of many males [Jarvis Landry] meaning potentially the most to me on the earth. I think about just being able to come to work and see him every single day and think about how special this could be. "I wouldn't rather be anywhere else". Instead, the Browns have gone just 5-7, and Beckham has been largely disappointing, logging only a pair of touchdown catches through the first 13 weeks of 2019.

Today, reporters in Cleveland asked Beckham about his future with the franchise, and his cryptic and murky response probably raised some eyebrows. In the offseason everything will figure itself out. "I just follow his lead".

Beckham is under contract with the Browns through 2023, but the Browns do have a potential out at the end of the 2020 season.

Interpretations will range, however the primary takeaway is the huge receiver didn't specific a need to remain in Cleveland past this season, which has been stuffed with disappointment for him and the whole group. Like I said, God has a plan.

"That's something we'll worry about when the offseason comes".

By now, you've become very familiar with how things go in the information and social media age.

"Ï'm going to get 1,000 yards", he said.

"There's definitely been a concerted effort by me just to keep myself in check, know that everyone is watching". Right now, I'm learning. Freddie Kitchens might not be back as the Browns' head coach next year, and the Browns might want to make a lot of big changes or they might want to stay the course. I'm going to give this team everything that I have. Quarterback Baker Mayfield is not playing to the level of preseason hype he received. I tell people when we talk about 1,000 yards - that's the minimum, that's the starting point.
