Nissan GT-R50 By Italdesign Limited Edition Unveiled In Production Guise

Customers who had reserved Nissan GT-R50 By Italdesign are now selecting personal specifications for the vehicles.

This special GT-R50 was unveiled to mark 50th anniversary of GT-R and Italdesign.

But what is more interesting to me is that Nissan and Italdesign have not yet managed to secure 50 holders of deposits for the vehicle, which was announced for production nearly exactly a year ago.

According to Nissan, the first customer model will be shown to the world for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Nissan says those who have ordered the auto are in the process of selecting personal specifications for the vehicle. "Their experience with the GT-R50 has been incredible and I can say first-hand that each auto will certainly be a standalone masterpiece", he adds.

We know who is based on his behavior and what it represents, but we don't know many details about its origin or its species. Still, Favreau added, "I think that's why people are so curious about this little one of the same species".

About that. The 3.8-litre V6 has been fettled to produce 720hp and 575lb ft. A reinforced six-speed dual-clutch transmission handles the extra power, while Bilstein adjustable suspension, Brembo brakes and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres keep everything pointing in the right direction.

Nissan isn't forthcoming on just how numerous cars it has sold. Once they've parted with €990,000 (before taxes and options) for the privilege, of course.

When Nissan unveiled its one-off GT-R50 super sports coupe co-developed with Italdesign a year ago, it had intended it to be a symbolic gift for the GT-R's 50th birthday and nothing more. Customers can expect to get behind the wheel of their personalised GT-R50 anytime between late 2020 and the end of 2021, subject to certification and homologation in all relevant markets.

The GT-R50 is priced at 990,000 euros, or approximately $ 1.1 million, and features a completely redesigned Italdesign appearance and a performance increase of up to 710 horsepower and 575 lb-ft of torque from the 600 HP of the original auto and 481 lb-ft of torque.
