Men's basketball to play MI in London in 2020

U.M.B.C. It has two players, R.J. Eytle-Rock and Daniel Akin, who are originally from London, and the team built a significant name recognition in 2018 by becoming the first 16th seed in the N.C.A.A. tournament to defeat a No. 1 when Virginia overturned (which recovered with a national title next season).

The Michigan men's basketball team is heading to London.

The paper reports it's part of a new deal between the two programs.

Kentucky and MI have agreed to a unique three-game scheduling series beginning with a 2020 game in London followed by a home game for each school. Kentucky will visit Ann Arbor in 2021 and the Wolverines will go to Lexington's Rupp Arena in 2022.

The 02 Arena is frequently used for sporting events and concerts.

Kentucky will face MI in London's O2 Arena as a fundraiser for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Kentucky's long-rumored game "across the pond" has come to fruition.

ET. "It's really comforting and nice to have somebody onstage with you that loves you and has your back", the pop superstar added. Her new album , out on Friday ahead of a US tour, is called " Romance ", and Cabello says it's all about falling in love.

London played host to the 1948 U.S. Olympic team that featured several United Kingdom players. With the trajectory of both programs, this should be one of the best out-of-conference series over the next few years.

"This series with MI checks off a lot of boxes when we're looking at teams to schedule", Kentucky coach John Calipari said.

The Wolverines are led this season by first-year head coach Juwan Howard, who has guided MI to a 7-1 start and a No. 4 ranking in the most recent Associated Press poll.

"When the idea of playing Kentucky came up, we knew it would be an exciting opportunity, not only for ourselves, but for our fans as well", MI coach Juwan Howard said in a statement.

The first year of the three-year commitment will feature a neutral-site game in London at the O2 Arena in December of 2020. The most recent matchup was in the 2014 NCAA Tournament in which the Cats won 75-72 on a late 3-pointer by Aaron Harrison to earn a spot in the Final Four. The year before, MI won two games in Rupp Arena to reach the Final Four.

The Michigan Wolverines men's basketball program will present its show with Juwan Howard overseas next season. Kentucky won 112-104 on December 20, 1968, in the UK Invitational Tournament.
