Richarlison signs new Everton deal

Richarlison of Brazil celebrates after scoring the opening goal during the International Friendly Match between Brazil and Qatar at Mane Garrincha Stadium on June 5, 2019 in Brasilia, Brazil.

Brands has been in his role at Goodison Park since leaving PSV Eindhoven back in 2018, the 57-year-old helping his side win three league titles in the Netherlands.

Everton are moving to secure Lucas Digne to a new contract. For us as a club it does not make sense to talk about players coming in or going out now.

But the Toffees have rewarded him with a new deal after his impressive start to life at Goodison Park.

Everton have been plagued by poor results in recent weeks.

Marco Silva is to hold his pre-Liverpool press conference later today, and the news could be broken as early as this afternoon.

Despite nearly losing his footing, the Egypt midfielder got his head to the ball, diverting it onto his foot and past Kepa Arrizabalaga at the near post.

Late last week it had been suggested that the Brazil global had been set to commit his future to the Toffees, and now Telegraph Sport report that Richarlison will put pen to paper before the Merseyside Derby on Wednesday.

"I believe it is some more".

His fresh deal keeps him with the Merseyside club at least until the summer of 2024 and has reputation has soared since he joined from Watford.

Everton are lining up a new contract for Lucas Digne after tying down Richarlison.

Richarlison has weighed in with six goals across all competitions so far this term, but is playing in a team that are struggling for form and sit just above the relegation places in the Premier League.

Everton do have a massive tie in the Premier League against Liverpool on Wednesday.
