Vikings still in thick of playoff hunt despite loss to Seahawks

Vikings running back Dalvin Cook went to the locker room with a right shoulder injury midway through the third quarter Monday night against the Seahawks.

Because they sure look to have everything necessary to win when things get really serious starting next month.

Defensively, LB Bobby Wagner posted a team-high 10 tackles, while CB Tre Flowers had a key interception early in the fourth quarter.

Rookie Alexander Mattison replaced him and finished with four catches for 51 receiving yards and four carries for 22 yards.

Premiers to meet, try to find consensus amid a host of issues
Alberta received about $250 million from the program in 2016, which amounts to $60 per Albertan, the maximum the program allows. Alberta's finances have taken a huge hit from low oil prices, which have harmed its major industry.

If there ever was a game that encapsulated the experience of being a Vikings fan, it was Monday Night's game in Seattle.

While some sites have said that Harrison Smith also struggled, he seemed fine, although he was injured in the fourth quarter of the Broncos game. Possibly, but the Vikings would be facing a thousand-times more criticism if Cook's injury was made even worse by staying out on the field and he was forced to miss some time during the final few weeks of the season.

The Vikings may have just lost their most-important offensive player in Monday night's game against the Seahawks.

Cook, who called his exit "precautionary", said he expected to be ready by Sunday after the Vikings' six-day turnaround to face the Detroit Lions at U.S. Bank Stadium. Instead, they looked to spread the Seahawks defense out (presumably to limit the amount of time the Seahawks' three great linebackers were on the field), with too many shotgun plays. Wilson wasn't having a hot start to the game, but his ability to turn things around and lead the Seahawks from the pocket is nothing short of incredible. This season they are 16th in total defense, giving up 347.4 yards per game; 20th against the pass (242.9); 15th against the rush (104.5); and 11th in scoring defense (20.2). The team is now one game behind the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North division. A win over Minnesota would give the Bears a sweep of the season series and the tiebreaker over the Vikings. She's cooking, so I'm going to get it all back.
