Ugly fight breaks out during Georgia-Georgia Tech game

Fromm insists Georgia's offense will be ready for Saturday's Southeastern Conference championship game against top-ranked LSU. For a team that just lost leading receiver Lawrence Cager to an ankle injury, Pickens' absence will be costly. Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart is expected to update Swift's status after the game.

On Blaylock's score, a scrap broke out between Pickens and Georgia Tech cornerback Tre Swilling on the other side of the end zone, with each player throwing punches.

That's a significant drain on the Bulldogs' depth at wide receiver. "Guys are ready to step up and fill that role". The team's leading receiver in terms of touchdowns sat out the first half due to a violation of team rules, Smart said, but returned in the second half. Surprisingly, Swilling was not also ejected for his role in the fight.

Cager and Pickens are tied for the team lead with 33 catches. He had a 41-yard touchdown catch in the limited minutes that he was on the field in Atlanta. Early on, the receivers struggled with being thrust into the limelight. He enters his third straight SEC championship game having failed to complete half of his passes in four consecutive games. Georgia Tech's lone touchdown - Graham's 6-yard pass to Tyler Davis - was set up by a fumbled punt that was recovered at the Georgia 17.

Star running back D'Andre Swift fumbled twice, the second of which left him crumpled on the turf holding his left shoulder. Everything Collins says follows a specific agenda, and that has been on display during his first almost-full year with this program. "He's a freshman", Smart said.

Pickens, from Hoover, Ala., didn't play in the first half against Georgia Tech.

Germany expels two Russians over killing of Georgian in Berlin
In their statement, German prosecutors said he was "classified as a terrorist by Russian authorities and persecuted as such". Federal prosecutors in charge of intelligence cases said they had taken over the investigation from Berlin authorities.

Luckily for Georgia, it appears Swift's injury will not extend past Saturday's game against the Yellow Jackets.

"Obviously with a big game like this, people miraculously get well toward end of the week", Orgeron quipped. The Bulldogs have outscored Georgia Tech 135-35 during that span.

The Yellow Jackets defense created a lot of opportunities in the first half for their offense. If the Bulldogs come up short against LSU, it appears they'll be headed to the Sugar or Orange Bowl.

Smart said Swift could have returned against Tech if the Bulldogs had needed him.

"There's no slack", Herrien said. He went to the medical tent, had his shoulder pads removed and watched the rest of the game from the bench with a towel over his head. "He said he'll be all right".
