Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Might Be Coming To PS5 Sooner

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 could well launch within a year of the release of the PS5.

Kinda Funny's Imran Khan recently let slip that he knows an terrible lot about what's happening with the next step in Sony's Spider-Man experience, saying: "I think it's a Christmas 2021 title".

A new rumor suggests that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 from Insomniac Games is targeting a Christmas 2021 release window. That said, a three year turn out is pretty swift for a game like Spider-Man, even if two years sounds like a long time.

Marvel's Spider-Man was announced to the world during E3 2016, and was released in September 2018. What first-party titles do you think the PlayStation 5 will launch with? We know for sure that the sequel will be released on the PS5, however, it seems like we will be getting the game sooner than expected.

However, a loss in the MAC Tournament semifinals took away an opportunity for an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. John's earned its third overall NCAA berth by winning the Big East Conference Tournament this past weekend.

Sony has also been using Spider-Man to illustrate the advantages of the PS5's skills to this level. But when can we realistically expect Spider-Man 2?

During the latest Kinda Funny Gamescast he had this to say about it, "I know too much about [Marvel's Spider-Man 2], so I can't speculate too much". With both the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett launching next winter, E3 2020 should be huge for the gaming community, and Sony isn't likely to miss out. Sony isn't about to let Horizon: Zero Dawn, God of War, or Marvel's Spider-Man to be one-off successes. It is no surprise that Insomniac Games would be working on a sequel, especially after Sony purchased the studio back in August.

"With as hard as Sony has been showing off [the original Marvel's Spider-Man] on PS5-it being like, 'this is how we're going to prove how different this game is, '-I think a Spider-Man 2..."
