Melania Trump Unveils White House's 2019 Christmas Decorations

According to a statement released by her office, each wing and room of the White House highlights a different aspect of "The Spirit of America".

At one point, Melania's seen sprinkling snow on the tree's branches, and the ornaments include red, white and blue flags and ribbons. and Scrabble tiles spelling out "Be Best" - the name of her anti-bullying initiative.

The 20ft Nordmann fir tree from the Windsor Great Park, which now sits in the castle's St George's Hall, is decorated with red and gold baubles this year.

The footage begins with Melania opening one of the doors of a giant advent calendar crafted in the shape of the White House.

We had high, high hopes for this year's decorations, because as you may recall Melania weirdly started planning them in JULY, smack dab in the middle of Robert Mueller's first hearing on Capitol Hill. In the State Dining Room, at the opposite end of the hallway, the decor continues to showcase American design.

This year's gingerbread house features the White House and iconic American landmarks including the Golden Gate Bridge in California, the Space Needle in Seattle, Washington, South Dakota's Mount Rushmore, The Alamo in Texas, the Gateway Arch of St. Louis, the Liberty Bell in Philidelphia, and New York City's Statue of Liberty. The tree is decorated with handmade paper flowers representing each state and territory.

Mrs. Trump continued her tradition of hanging wreaths on the mansion's exterior windows, 106 in all.

The almost minute long video featured Melania Trump putting the finishing touches on several trees and walking through the White House admiring the decorations.

More than 250 volunteers from all 50 states participate in the White House decorating each year.

The White House band played Christmas music as photographers, reporters, and videographers got their first look for the annual Christmas decorations personally curated by First Lady Melania Trump.
