Baltimore Ravens thrilling win over 49ers: Take home points

It was the Ravens' 48th touchdown of the season, breaking the franchise mark set by the 2009 team.

Either way, 49ers-Saints is a must-win for both teams, and San Francisco is already an underdog in the matchup. But it was my fault, so I'm hot about that right now. We came up a little bit short there at the end. But this victory gives them something more: heft. "They didn't try to run too much up the middle, because they know we've got some big dudes in the middle".

If this was a Super Bowl preview, the rematch in Miami should be competitive and entertaining.

It was also the first time the Ravens trailed since the second quarter of their game at Seattle on October 20.

After the victory, Baltimore offered a similar message as the Niners, sounding like a team that had just been in a serious battle and anticipating that another one could await. San Francisco would then be in position to play on the road on wild card weekend rather than at home in the divisional round after a first-round bye. "We're one of the best defenses in the league".

Both teams entered the game looking to make a statement, and that extended to the touchdown celebrations.

Justin Tucker's 49-yard field goal clinched an eighth straight win for the Baltimore Ravens as they defeated the San Francisco 49ers 20-17.

Major winter storm impacts Wisconsin this Saturday and Sunday
The South Island, primarily the West Coast, will bear the brunt of the rain, parts of the North Island will also get their share. Blizzard conditions are already impacting the High Plains and around Duluth, Minnesota, on the shores of Lake Superior.

Tucker's game-winner put the finishing touches on a game that most 49ers described as having a postseason atmosphere. "A lot of passes getting away from me".

"Every week is big but being out on the field, it was a dogfight and it definitely felt like we were in a playoff game", Niners defensive tackle DeForest Buckner said. "It's not like they were beating us down". If the season ended today, the 49ers would have the No. 1 seed in the NFC on the back of their 10-1 record. "You have to protect the football, score points when you can and play as a team".

The defense held the Ravens, the league's top offense in yards and scoring, to their fewest points this season and to just 283 yards, their second fewest. But that one play, it shortened us. These two teams played a tight and compelling game in hard conditions Sunday.

When that game kicks off, the Niners will become the first team in the Super Bowl era to play three consecutive games against teams with an.800 or better winning percentage this late in the season, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

With the win, the Ravens moved to 10-2, while the Niners fell to the same record with division rival Seattle Seahawks (9-2) facing Minnesota on Monday night.

This Week 13 game against the Baltimore Ravens followed the same pattern, albeit not exactly. This was a great game, though. "I feel like they got us in the first half with the edges, but I feel like in the second half, we made some adjustments and were able to shut it down for the most part". Someone in the stairwell breathed a sigh of relief and said he hoped the Ravens didn't see the 49ers again.

Sherman said quarterbacks like Jackson can be frustrating to defend in certain situations, where defensive players have to guess whether they are sliding or going out of bounds. But the stakes for next week's game in New Orleans just went up another notch.
