At least ten people shot in the New Orleans French Quarter

The shooting took place on a busy commercial block of Canal Street that has streetcar tracks and is near many hotels.

Two individuals are in critical condition. One victim was shot in the chest and another was shot to the torso.

The victims have been taken to hospital.

Officers later located 11 people who were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, according to a press release from NOPD.

Eleven people were injured, including two critically, in a shooting early Sunday on the edge of New Orleans' French Quarter, police said.

In terms of the location of the testing, SpaceX originally planned to build a test stand for Crew Dragon near Landing Zone 1 . The Crew Dragon vehicle has four thruster pods that each have two Draco thrusters and two SuperDraco thrusters .


Officers confirmed they were just a few feet away from the shooting, and initially thought they were being fired at.

But it was unclear if the person was involved. He did not provide any additional details as to why this person had been detained. No arrests have been made at this time.

Chief Ferguson added that officers had difficulty locating the shooter due to the large crowd of people gathered at the scene.

Thousands of fans and alumni have also been drawn to the city for the Bayou Classic football game traditionally played on Thanksgiving weekend between Southern University and Grambling State University.

Police said on their Twitter feed "one suspect had been apprehended near the scene".
