Imelda Staunton To Star In THE CROWN Seasons 5 and 6

"We are now filming Season 4 of 'The Crown, ' but have not commissioned any further seasons as yet, therefore any news on casting remains pure speculation", the rep says.

She can now be seen as Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown's third season, which was released on Netflix on Sunday.

The 63-year-old actress will take the role for seasons five and six of the critically-acclaimed show, according to the Daily Mail.

Colman made her debut as the Queen on Sunday, when all 10 episodes of season three were made available. Her long list of credits also includes "Much Ado About Nothing", "Sense and Sensibility", "Shakespeare in Love", "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil" and many more.

Replacing Claire Foy, leading lady Olivia portrays the Queen as she navigates her way through the 1960s and '70s, a rapidly shifting cultural, political and economical landscape for the United Kingdom. She recently starred opposite Martin Freeman in ITV drama A Confession.

The third season arrived on Netflix earlier this month. The same cast will stay for Season 4, which is set to air in late 2020. Helena Bonham Carter, Margarita princess in the series, he says in the video below.
