Baby Yoda Merchandise to Debut Ahead of Holiday Shopping Season

Baby Yoda Merchandise to Debut Ahead of Holiday Shopping Season

I have a feeling many Star Wars fans will be receiving some sort of The Mandalorian or The Rise of Skywalker merchandise for the holidays this year! It's not though, it's a screenshot from the 2002 GameCube and PS2 game Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, which tasked you to hunt down Dark Jedi Komari Vosa as the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett. In the meantime, the unofficial fan club for the Child is growing each day.

Interestingly, the adorable little guy is being called "The Child" by Disney, which is a more fitting name than "Yoda Baby".it is also the name of the show's second episode.

Are there plans to release a toy?

And the only reason Disney didn't overwhelm us with merch before is because showrunners Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni didn't want to spoil Baby Yoda's appearance.

Everything you need to know about Baby Yoda
Social media is filled with people professing their love (and willingness to take a bullet or several) for Baby Yoda . Expect everything from a stuffed animal to a Funko Pop!, and some of it could arrive by this holiday season.

They add, via an anonymous source close to the company, that "Amazon, Zazzle, Target, Kohl's, Macy's, Hot Topic and Box Lunch" will carry the merchandise and that toys and stuffed products will be available in the coming weeks. There will be shirts and apparel as well as accessories, but no specific word on those plushies. Goods could arrive as early as Friday. Last year, toymakers also struggled in the absence of a Star Wars movie in theaters and the first U.S. holiday season without Toys "R" Us, which closed more than 700 stores last year.

Again, it's weird that Baby Yoda's weren't sold in stores the moment the baby alien locked eyes with Mando. "So they really back us up", he explained, according to Slashfilm. We really wanted to have it be that you had to watch it yourself, so that every time you watch the show, there are new twists and secrets that come out.

Who knows how much the plush replicas will go for?
