Sam Hunt Arrested, Charged with DUI in Nashville

The 34-year-old crooner was booked in a Metro jail in Nashville, Tennessee, at 6:30 am on charges of driving under the influence and having an open container, according to the Metro Nashville police department.

Sam Hunt was arrested and booked for a DUI after he drove down the wrong side of the road in East Nashville in the early morning hours of November 21.

Hunt, the only person in the vehicle, took a field sobriety test and had a blood alcohol content of.173, police said.

"When officers got behind the vehicle the driver had difficulty staying in the lane of travel and crossed the center divide several times before a stop was initiated", the arrest report reads. Hunt was allegedly driving south in the northbound lanes of Ellington Parkway near Ben Allen Road and swerving in and out of his lane. When asked for his driver's license, Hunt tried to give police a credit card and his passport, police said.
