Apple releases Smart Battery Case for the iPhone 11 series

The new Smart Battery Case supports Qi wireless charging which means users can charge the phone and case simultaneously without any cables. Much like previous Apple-made battery cases, they have a hump on the back, connect directly to Lightning inside, can be wirelessly charged, come in black or white, and this time promise up to 50% more battery life.

If you order them now, they are slated for November 22 delivery. The newest version of Apple's controversial case looks a lot like last year's iPhone XS and iPhone XR equivalents, although this time around the company has implemented one important change.

Apple has launched new Smart Battery Cases for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

This is the third generation of Smart Battery Cases from Apple. And on the outside, the silky, soft-touch finish of the silicone exterior feels great in your hand.

The Smart Battery Case, as the name suggests, is a case with an integrated battery that perpetually charges the phone until the battery in the case drains. It launches the Camera app in an instant, whether your iPhone is locked or unlocked.

According to the product description, a quick press of the button will take a photo, while a long-press will take a video. It works when you're using your iPhone's front-facing selfie camera, too. Having said that, the iPhone 11 series already has healthy battery life - this might be enough to get you through a weekend if you're not particularly demanding. It's priced at $129, no matter which model you need.
