Jose Mourinho named new Tottenham manager succeeding Mauricio Pochettino

At the time Mourinho, who clinched the Italian treble that year, was only the fourth manager to win the European title with two different clubs.

The Argentine's exit has opened the door for the return of Mourinho, who was confirmed by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy as new boss on Wednesday morning on a reported £15 million a year. He has a wealth of experience, can inspire teams and is a great tactician.

The 56-year-old - a three-time Premier League victor during two spells in charge of London rivals Chelsea - saw his two-and-half-year tenure as United boss come to an end amid poor form and reports of dressing-room unrest. It was not an idle boast: Chelsea won the next two editions of the Premier League, and added one FA Cup and two League Cup titles in a successful first stint at the London club.

"I think he will have the opportunity to bring in young players but what i think you will see with Mourinho is he is going to make us solid". From 2016 to 2018, he was in charge of Manchester United, winning the 2016-17 Europa League crown.

To clarify, dick clark productions has since stated it had no involvement in BM's statement about Swift's performance. Big Machine also claimed that Swift owes the company "millions of dollars and multiple assets".

"I am excited to be joining a club with such a great heritage and such passionate supporters", Mourinho said of his appointment.

Overall, Mourinho has managed 305 games in the Premier League - 212 with Chelsea and 93 with Manchester United. The quality in both the squad and the academy excites me.

Pochettino spent five-and-half seasons at Spurs, helping them to four consecutive top-four finishes and turning them to a club to reckon with domestically and on the continent. "I think he is going to get the best out of Dele Alli, we have got some brilliant players at this football club".

But Mourinho is nothing if not a victor, having picked up league titles in every country he has managed in, as well as two Champions League titles.
