The next Sea of Thieves update will let you firebomb your foes

British video game developer Rare, creator of classics like Battletoads, GoldenEye 007, and Banjo-Kazooie, revealed his next game is great, Everwild, at the X019 Microsoft today. Come inside for your first look at the title. It's most recent game, Sea of Thieves, hit in 2018, and despite looking promising, it launched a bit half-baked. It's a brand-new IP called Everwild, and looks like a frankly gorgeous cross between Breath of the Wild and Monster Hunter.

"Everwild will give you unforgettable, participating and meaningful experiences for gamers just about everywhere to share". In the meantime, get your fill of "oohs" and "aahs" in the trailer above. "I'm excited to share with you a glimpse of the new IP from RARE", said Louise O'Connor, executive producer at Rare.

The game is still very early in development, but from the glimpses that we have, we get to see the natural and magical world that it's set in. Duncan also said that his studio remains "fully committed" to Sea of Thieves.

After this, Boeing said, a report will be released for a public comment period, followed by final approval of the training. American and Southwest have announced they don't expect to begin flying the grounded jet until March at the earliest.

The update will also introduce a new weapon in the form of firebombs, which can be thrown or loaded into cannons to cause all kinds of mayhem on your nautical adventures. Revealed during the Inside Xbox stream, The Seabound Soul is the latest free DLC that aims to expand upon the lore and mechanics of Sea of Thieves.

From these hints, it seems like a fair guess that Everwild will focus more exploration and discovery than on combat, and the multiple characters in the trailer may even hint at it being a multiplayer title.
