Houston Rockets: Player grades from big win over Clippers

Houston Rockets: Player grades from big win over Clippers

James Harden was pestered and harassed on defense by Patrick Beverley for most of Houston's game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night. Just last season, Beverley dove for a loose ball and drilled Westbrook's right knee again, leading to another confrontation and technical fouls on both players.

Several minutes earlier, Beverley expressed displeasure with the officiating.

"I did", the Houston guard said, smiling, when asked if he enjoyed the two technical fouls on his father. So they told him he didn't burn a timeout on the challenge and he had two remaining. The 25-year-old left Wednesday's win over the Clippers in the fourth quarter after taking a hit to his head in a collision with Los Angeles big man JaMychal Green.

"I doubt we'll go to dinner or anything like that".

However, Harden has become very good at driving into the paint and drawing contact to get to the free-throw line.

While on any other night, Rivers' ejection would have been just another moment in a busy day of National Basketball Association action, on Wednesday Doc was facing off against his son Austin, a guard on the Rockets. After telling Brothers "I don't care" and staying on the floor, the ejecting technical was issued. "That was big. Those mistakes can not happen".

Mayank Agarwal left shell-shocked by umpire Marais Erasmus’ rare howler
With a lead of 153, the Indian batsmen will be looking to post a huge first-innings score before letting Bangladesh bat again. Left-hander Jadeja kept up the attack after a 123-run partnership with Agarwal for the fourth wicket.

However, contrary to Westbrook's implication, Harden did not have much success against Beverley, a two-time All-Defensive selection.

There didn't seem to be any hard feelings on the elder Rivers' part, as Doc later responded to his son's Instagram post of the moment with a "hilarious...." They just let (referee) Tony Brothers handle it. "That was terrible and the response was to throw me out?" "I'm not going to lie".

Karl-Anthony Towns scored 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, giving Minnesota's maximum-contract duo a third consecutive game with 25-plus points apiece.

After the game, Austin Rivers said he doesn't think his father will hold this against him.

However, many argue that Harden's stats are inflated by the number of shots he puts up per game, not actually focusing on how effective he is when he shoots at low percentages.
