Elton John to return to Columbia for final leg of farewell tour

Elton John must like saying "goodbye".

The flamboyant singer announced two new Houston dates as part of his three-year, wildly popular, and sold-out Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour. The operators of our publicly owned arena once again did not name ticket prices to the public ahead of time, but the seats should be comparable to the April 28 date already on the books in Milwaukee, which are $50-$225.

John kicked off his retirement tour in January of 2018.

2019 has already seen the release of "Rocketman" to great critical and commercial success with almost $200 million at the box office, a fantasy musical motion picture of his life and his critically acclaimed & chart topping autobiography Me is #1 on New York Times Best Sellers List in the Non-Fiction category.

American Express credit card holders can buy tickets starting Thursday, Nov. 14.

Tickets for those shows go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22. These presales don't guarantee you get all the best seats. The Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour will be making stops in new cities across North America such as Hershey, PA, Greensboro, NC, Knoxville, TN, Fargo, ND, and N. Little Rock, AR.

He played the AAA and Sunrise's BB&T Center on the opening leg of the tour in November 2018 and returned to Sunrise in March 2019, where he also performed in Jacksonville and Orlando.

The new dates include northern USA cities Fargo, N.D., and Hershey, Pa., and are in addition to previously announced additions including Detroit, New York, and Brooklyn. The hits-heavy set includes favorites like "I'm Still Standing" and "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" along with a dramatic duo performance of the "Madman Across the Water" track, "Indian Sunset", between Cooper on congas and a solo Elton on piano.
