Rep. Hurd Wants Hunter Biden to Testify in Inquiry

So, the over-the-top Trump sycophant chose to go full Alex Jones and has turned to conspiracy theories to take heat off of the president.

"As of right now, they are giving us no witnesses", Nunes told Fox News' Jeanine Pirro on Saturday night.

Alex Conant, a Republican strategist, said: "It's not good".

Several Republican senators declared they would not even watch the televised hearings this week. Democrats, for the first time publicly, will try to make their case to the American people that the president deserves to be removed from office. "This is a hoax", Trump told reporters Friday on the White House lawn. It stated that he expects each of the witnesses to be called to "ensure Democrats treat the president with fairness, as promised by Speaker Pelosi".

The idea of having the whistleblower answer written questions directly from Republicans has been dismissed by President Trump and allies in the House, including Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif.

Nunes writes that both Biden and Archer's time with Burisma "can assist the American public in understanding the nature and extent of Ukraine's pervasive corruption, information that bears directly on President Trump's long-standing and deeply-held skepticism of the country". Many Republicans see Jordan as a capable messenger and effective questioner.

"To come up with the [GOP] list of witnesses, we sat with Devin [Nunes] at Intel Committee, we sat with Oversight and Foreign Affairs and we looked at all that has transpired".

"You can't limit the witnesses", Kennedy said. "Jordan is definitely a showman".

"Republicans, don't be led into the fool's trap of saying it was not ideal but is not impeachable".

House investigators will start questioning witnesses in open sessions next week.

Channel Islands mark Remembrance Sunday with two minutes silence
Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn stood side by side during the commemorative proceedings on Sunday. Harry admitted he and his brother were on "different paths" in an emotional TV interview with Tom Bradby in October.

In advance of the public hearings, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Burbank), who is spearheading the impeachment inquiry, has not yet finalized the witness list.

"This inquiry is not, and will not serve, however, as a vehicle to undertake the same sham investigations into the Bidens or 2016 that the President pressed Ukraine to conduct for his personal political benefit, or to facilitate the President's effort to threaten, intimidate, and retaliate against the whistleblower who courageously raised the initial alarm", Schiff said.

He added: "It's being driven by political people".

"That's their impression", Johnson said of the officials who painted a picture of Trump improperly pressing Zelensky to go after the Bidens. They also plan to highlight that the aid did eventually flow to Ukraine without the investigations ever being opened.

Democrats have wide discretion over who appears as a witness in these proceedings.

The whistleblower complaint alleges that Trump abused his official powers "to solicit interference" from Ukraine in the upcoming 2020 election, and that the White House took steps to cover it up.

"If it can be demonstrated that the president asked for and had the requisite state of mind, that the president asked for an investigation of a political rival, that's over the line", Kennedy said on CBS's Face the Nation.

"The Democrats disagree that the Steele dossier, I'm assuming, has anything to do with Ukraine or originations in Ukraine".

Henry asked Nunes, "Is this a calculated coup against President Trump, and if so, how do you back that up?"

"Only recently, based on media reports", Sondland replied.
