Heat Decline To Comment On Dion Waiters Medical Episode

Dion Waiters' mother posted on Instagram Saturday morning to dismiss a report about her son's health.

Waiters, who's yet to appear in a game this season, was listed out for Friday's contest against the Los Angeles Lakers due to illness.

However, Brian Windhorst reported that the reason for his absence was a drug-induced panic attack. The 27-year-old missed Thursday's game against the Phoenix Suns with what the Heat labeled as a "stomachache". He experienced some relief but apparently had too much of the substance that it incapacitated him from playing.

The Heat declined to comment.
