Robyn Crawford Finally Confirms Relationship With Whitney Houston

According to a report from VanityFair.com, written in a new book by Robyn Crawford, the old childhood friend of Whitney Houston confirmed in existing rumors that they had been in a relationship for years.

Whitney Houston's longtime friend Robyn Crawford is opening up about her relationship with the singer.

According to Crawford, she and Whitney wanted to be together-"and that meant just us"-but any number of obstacles stood in their way, including Whitney's mother Cissy". In fact, as soon as Houston signed a deal with Clive Davis and Arista Records, the couple ended their affair to preserve her image.

"She said we shouldn't be physical anymore because it would make our journey even more hard".

Whitney's health and wellbeing would be on a slippery slope from then on and Crawford said that it was hard watching her friend becoming isolated.

"Whitney knows I loved her and I know she loved me", Crawford adds.

"I have a lot of lovely, wonderful, exciting, adventurous, loving, caring memories of Whitney", she says.

In a new memoir called "A Song For You: My Life with Whitney Houston", Crawford says that she and Whitney indeed had a romantic relationship.

Crawford writes that Houston's mother, gospel singer Cissy Houston, was among those in the singer's family who were against her relationship with Whitney.

"I really feel that if Robyn was accepted into Whitney's life, Whitney would still be alive today", Bobby Brown told Us Weekly in 2016.

"She's entitled. If she wants to write a book, who knows what the book is about?" As her closest confidante, Crawford stood with loyalty by Houston's side throughout her globally renowned career.

Crawford says by writing her book, she hopes to set the record straight about the legendary singer. Crawford, then 19, told Houston, who was nearly 17, that she was going to "look out" for her.

Crawford claims Houston "lost herself" in the throes of their relationship.

Crawford said: "I have a lot of attractive, wonderful, exciting, adventurous, loving, caring memories of Whitney". And I felt an urgency to stand up and fragment the girl slack the unbelievable skills'.

Whitney's tragic death at the age of 48 came amid her spiralling descent into debt after blowing her $100million fortune on drugs.

Whitney did indeed marry Bobby, now 50, on July 18, 1992 but Robyn claims she always preferred Eddie, 58, to Bobby but he let her down by standing her up. A Tune For You hits cabinets on November 12.
