Amitabh Bachchan, Ayushmann Khurrana’s Gulabo Sitabo to release on February 28

While Amitabh is nearly unrecognisable as a wizened old man with a droopy and prosthetic nose, Ayushmann sports disheveled hair and loose clothing, seeming completely hassled at something. The actor can also be seen sporting a long beard in the picture. Treating fans to the lead duo's first look from the movie, the makers confirmed the release date to be February 28, 2020, instead of April 2020. Ayushmann is also wearing a brown shirt and white pyjama. New release date... #GulaboSitabo to release *earlier*: 28 Feb 2020...

The first looks of Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan in the movie, as well as its new preponed release date, have been creating a buzz on social media. Ayushmann Khurrana wrapped up the shoot of the film in just 22 days. Gulabo Sitabo's shooting has been wrapped up already and Big B's look from the film is already out which has piqued the interest among the audience on a large scale.

"Gulabo Sitabo" is directed by Shoojit Sircar and has been written by Juhi Chaturvedi of "Piku" fame.

Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan had taken to his official blog to share pictures of himself from the shoot's wrap-up and wondered if he shall work again director Shoojit, whom he has labelled as the "visionary of cinema".

A Mumbai Mirror report said Amitabh plays a grumpy landlord from Lucknow in the film. He is required to sit down with the make-up team for hours before starting the shoot. Interestingly, Amitabh and Shoojit have also worked together in the commercially and critically acclaimed 2015 film Piku. Shoojit was also the one to give Ayushmann Khurrana his first film, Vicky Donor.
