Canadians began voting on Monday to determine whether Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who swept into office four years ago as a charismatic figure promising "sunny ways", will remain in power after two major scandals.

With Trudeau's "sunny ways" edict undermined by a series of scandals-the SNC-Lavalin affair, which saw the prime minister accused of attempted political interference, and the string of photos that emerged showing him in blackface and brownface in his late twenties-many would-be Liberal voters have felt further swayed towards the NDP.

Conservative hopes in Quebec took a beating after Scheer put in what was widely considered a bad performance in the first French-language leaders' debate.

"Now all the media is covering this now that this was a dirty election and that people lied - the Conservatives lied about the Liberals, the Liberals lied about the Conservatives, the NDP continue to lie about the Greens". He urged his supporters for just a few more hours of hard work to get out the vote. He voted in favour of the carbon tax.

Anyone who doesn't have ID will also still be permitted to vote in the election as long as they declare their identity and address in writing and have a fellow voter, who they know and who is assigned to the same polling station, vouch for them.

According to an Ipsos poll published on Friday, the majority of Canadians believe that the best outcome from Monday's election would be a majority government (61 percent) compared to 39 percent who would feel more comfortable with a minority government.

Climate change, the economy, and healthcare were also on voters' minds during the five-week campaign.

Tony DeAngelo and Jesper Fast had goals for the Rangers, who had played just three games in the first 14 days of the season. Mathew Barzal and Michael Dal Colle scored in the first period for the Islanders. "Especially losing three in a row".

"The reason why I think we got a lot of love", he said, "a reason why a lot of people have been saying this is an exciting campaign, is because it's been about people".

"We've run a very positive campaign".

Blanchet said separatism wasn't a priority for his party, nor was a referendum on the matter imminent.

That resurgence has come at the expense of the Liberals, Conservatives and NDP, all of which entered the campaign hoping to win over Quebecers, who have historically played a major role in deciding the makeup of the government in Ottawa.

In Newfoundland and Labrador, where the polls closed 30 minutes before anywhere else, the Liberals won six of the province's seven seats, but the NDP broke the Liberal grip on the region by winning St. John's East.

The Liberals are also leading in all four of P.E.I.'s ridings.

More than 27 million residents are eligible to vote Monday and 4.7 million have already done so in advance polls, up 29% from 2015.
