Sam Darnold struggles in rough outing vs

The Patriots took a delay of game penalty but Jets coach Adam Gase declined it for some reason, so that started the clock.

Viewers who stuck it out to the fourth quarter of Monday night's awful game between the Patriots and Jets saw something unusual: Patriots coach Bill Belichick smiling on the sideline. Edelman, Josh Gordon and Phillip Dorsey were all on the injury report leading into the team's 33-0 drubbing of the Jets on Monday.

The 22-year-old quarterback explained what he meant by the ghosts comment, telling reporters after the game, "When I talk to the coaches, I've just got to be straight up".

Even off the field, Darnold wasn't having the best of times at MetLife Stadium during the contest. It was a rough night out there.

Police also said they were looking for a woman who "looks drunk" and may have been involved in the incident in north Oslo . Another photo in the daily showed a handcuffed man , flanked by police, walking toward an ambulance stretcher.

He was miserable against New England, finishing 11 of 32 for 86 yards and a 3.6 quarterback rating.

Jets running back Le'Veon Bell told reporters that Darnold "learned a lot (Monday night)".

The offense in the first half was efficient, controlled the ball and, besides a few drops, played mistake-free football, which is a good formula to complement arguably the most dominant defense in the NFL.

"We get back Wednesday, we gotta head right into Jacksonville. It's easy to say that after the loss like that, but I just gotta play a lot better, and us as an offense and collectively as a team, we need to get better, and we will".
