Boxer Errol Spence charged with DWI in Dallas Ferrari crash, police say

Unified welterweight titlist @ErrolSpenceJr, who has been released from the hospital after a horrific auto accident last week, was drunk when he crashed the vehicle and is charged with DWI, according to Dallas police.

Fox 4 News reported Spence won't face any other charges because it was a single-car accident, and no one else was hurt.

"Mr. Spence has been released from the hospital and will need to address those charges", Dallas police said. "Therefore, no reason to get a warrant to pull the CDR (Black box) of the vehicle".

Less than a week after surviving a terrifying rollover crash in his Ferrari, WBC/IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence could be facing some legal consequences.

Joe Maddon to become Angels manager
Jon Heyman of Fancred reported Wednesday that Maddon and the Angels should have an agreement in place in the very near future. Given Maddon's willingness to tinker with defensive alignments, he may already have some quirky deployment plans for Ohtani.

Spence, of the Dallas suburb DeSoto, was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle, which eventually flipped over several times at around 3 a.m. CT.

Before the police department put out their statement, Spence took to social media for the first time since the accident, posting on his Instagram account: "No broken bones I'm a savage!".

Stay tuned for updates on Spence's condition and his impending case as we will be sure to bring them to you. He is expected to make a full recovery.

Spence out of the hospital, according to ESPN, after initially being in intensive care following the crash.

Last month, the former U.S. Olympian added the WBC welterweight title to his IBF strap with a split-decision victory over Shawn Porter.
