One of Britain's most prolific child sex offenders, Richard Huckle, has died three years into a life sentence for abusing Malaysian and Cambodian children, Britain's Ministry of Justice said on Monday, with media saying he had been stabbed to death.

Richard Huckle, 33, used to be stumbled on ineffective Sunday inside his cell at the Tubby Sutton Detention heart in North Yorkshire, per Sky News.

United Kingdom media reported that Huckle had been stabbed to death.

The news channel quoted sources as saying that Huckle was found dead under "suspicious circumstances" at the Full Sutton prison yesterday.

The Guardian reported that upon Huckle's sentencing, Judge Peter Rook QC said, "Your offending behaviour became entrenched in your everyday life".

Images and videos of his despicable acts were shared by pedophiles across the globe on the dark web through a website called The Love Zone.

Huckle even tried to make a business out of his horrific crimes by crowd-funding the release of the images and was compiling a paedophile's manual at the time of his arrest by the National Crime Agency.

In online posts, Huckle bragged that it was easier to target impoverished children in Malaysia than those from wealthy Western backgrounds.

He presented himself as a practising Christian and first visited Malaysia on a teaching gap year when he was 18 or 19.

Commenting on one of his victims, he boasted: "I'd hit the jackpot, a three-year-old girl as loyal to me as my dog and nobody seemed to care".

Investigators believe he would have attacked hundreds of more children had he not been caught in 2014 when Australian police uncovered a network of paedophiles on the "dark" web.

Humberside Police have launched an investigation into the incident after receiving reports of the death at around 12:30pm on October 13.
