Mason Rudolph ruled out, Devlin Hodges starts for Steelers

Paxton Lynch became the fifth quarterback to hold a spot on the Steelers' active roster this season on Friday afternoon.

Ramon Foster #73 and Alejandro Villanueva #78 check on Mason Rudolph #2 of the Pittsburgh Steelers after being injured during the third quarter against the Baltimore Ravens at Heinz Field on October 6, 2019 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. If that step goes well without symptoms surfacing, then Rudolph would have a chance to be cleared to play.

Rudolph appeared to be knocked unconscious when he was hit by Baltimore safety Earl Thomas in Pittsburgh's overtime loss to the Ravens on Sunday, and needed assistance from trainers and teammates while walking off the field.

This week undrafted rookie Devlin Hodges will get his first start and it is against future Hall of Famer Philip Rivers and the Los Angeles Chargers.

Cardinals go with same roster for NLCS
Scherzer is through four innings having allowed only one baserunner, that coming on a first inning walk of Kolten Wong . The Nationals added two more on Adam Eaton's double down the first-base line with one out in the eighth.

Hodges played well after coming in, completing 7 of 9 passes for 68 yards.

"I've been at this long enough to know that I'm not a medical expert", Tomlin said.

Tomlin said he was "comfortable" with the quarterbacks on the roster. They traveled to San Diego in 2015 with Michael Vick - who wasn't even with the team until the end of training camp - starting. But after the Steelers traded away Josh Dobbs, they signed Hodges, a Walter Payton Award victor, to the practice squad. Pittsburgh won on a touchdown on the final snap. Samuels will be out about a month after surgery for a sprained left knee. Highly productive in special teams.

Benny Snell Jr.is next in line behind Conner for running back reps. This guy is making tackles and it has been really impressive.
