Noosa mayor Tony Wellington says he is calling on Jess Glasgow to resign immediately as a Noosa councillor after accusing him of crude behaviour.

Cr Seymour said he didn't blame the Noosa mayor for asking for Glasgow's resignation.

Cr Wellington said he watched the program with his wife and he was, "totally appalled, as was my wife, and I'm sure most women watching the program would have been appalled".

Cr Glasgow made frequent references to his job on the show, including when he presented Ms Kent with the keys to the city and spent Wednesday's debut episode wearing a kinglike, red velvet cape and sat on a giant, novelty throne.

Today, Cr Glasgow in the Sunshine Coast Daily claimed he had the Mayor's "approval and support".

He said as a "first timer" on reality TV he had no idea his quest to find love would come to this.

In another scene on last night's episode, Cr Glasgow made a comment about a fellow contestant not trying to kiss Ms Kent.

"I'm truly sorry if I made her [Angie Kent] feel uncomfortable".

Fears that the country would crash out of the European Union without a deal has weighed heavily on the pound in recent weeks. The commission will take stock of progress on Monday, the statement said.

"This is one day in my whole political career in Noosa that I made probably the worst judgment ever and I won't resign because I still hold utmost respect for Noosa, its community and its people".

Cr Wellington said Cr Glasgow was not pleased with his recommendations.

"Only the State Government, through the Council of Conduct Tribunal or the minister himself, can take that sort of action", he said.

Cr Jess Glasgow gets a dressing down from Bachelorette Angie Kent.

"I believe that I haven't breached that conduct because I know exactly what I was there to do and I didn't intend to bring the council into disrepute".

"The behaviour evidence by Cr Glasgow was vile, was reprehensible and it was thoroughly misogynistic".

He also sent a message to Angie on KIIS FM, saying: "Just tell her she was a lovely woman, I had a great experience, she deserves way better than me".

In this week's Mumbrellacast, editor Vivienne Kelly sits down with this year's Bachelorette Angie Kent to chat about the transition from Goggleboxer to reality TV mainstay. "Obviously I named my profession just like other guys were fire fighters or ex-army soldiers, I'm a local councillor, so I didn't worry about that at all", he said. "Never. I can't have that in my life", she said.
