4 dead, 3 injured in shooting in Brooklyn

Victims of the incident were transported to Kings County Hospital and Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Two may have lived out of state and the rest were from neighbourhoods throughout Brooklyn, Chief Shea added.

According to police, four men were pronounced dead at the scene.

At least four people died and three were wounded in a shooting at a social club in NY early Saturday, police said.

The ages of the deceased and those shot range in age between 32 and 49 years old.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Authorities responded to a call of shots fired in the vicinity of the Triple A Aces private and social rental space on Utica Avenue near Michael Griffith Street in Crown Heights around 7 a.m., FDNY officials said.

Community Advocate Tony Herbert has spoken out against the violence.

Multiple people were taken in for questioning three blocks away at the NYPD 77th Precinct but it was initially unclear what sparked the shooting. As a result, police had increased patrols of the area. The gunfire, which began during a candlelight vigil for a neighborhood resident, injured four.

The dead and the injured were not immediately identified.

The Crown Heights shooting was listed on the Gun Violence Archive's website Saturday morning as the country's most recent mass shooting - a term that the database defines as a shooting where four or more are injured, excluding the shooter.

This is a developing story.
