Facebook-owned WhatsApp on Saturday confirmed that the application was now back on the Google Play store after its unexpected vanishing.

Several of them went a step further by disguising themselves in the phone's app settings page.

We also want to note that the new Google Play Store update is available in the form of APK. But, to the surprise of many, users, who had previously installed the app, could still spot the app in their "Previously installed app" section on the Google Play Store. Since Google Play Store is such an important component in the Android operating system, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Google is updating it on a weekly basis with software improvements and bug fixes.

The problem resembles to be confined to Android, and not attacking iOS users. The reason remains unclear but, WhatsApp for Business, still remains on the Play Store, as spotted by WABetaInfo, a fan website that tracks updates. Meanwhile, other Facebook owned apps are visible on Google Play search list.
