RJ Barrett Could Prove Kevin Durant Was Wrong About Knicks

What KD did leaving the Warriors -- and I've seen it in every sport -- has never worked and I think it's a enormous huge roll of the dice.

Kevin Durant had a message for Brooklyn Nets fans during a Tuesday radio interview - don't expect him to play this season.

Kevin Durant directed some shade at the New York Knicks earlier this week, and head coach David Fizdale and forward Julius Randle have since reacted to the Durant's takedown.

"The organization, basketball is the most important thing for me, so playing with Kyrie (Irving), DeAndre Jordan, the young players they got, was key".

All the players younger than Durant who will be free agents have never seen this franchise be successful.

"You know what I'm saying; the cool thing now is not the Knicks".

The meeting is to allow "detailed discussions" with their teams on the process for securing a deal, Downing Street confirmed.

"Durant said he barely gave the Knicks "a thought" this summer", but the 2014 NBA MVP added he "didn't really do any deep, full analysis on the Knicks" due to their recent failures, something he believes also has been a factor for the league's other stars in recent years.

"I wanted to play", Durant said via Rob Lopez of The Athletic.

The Knicks have made the playoffs just six times since 1999, when they made the NBA Finals, with their last playoff appearance in the 2012-2013 season.

The Knicks have been to the NBA Finals twice in Durant's lifetime. That's highly unlikely to happen before next season as he recovers from a torn Achilles.

KD adds that the Knicks' brand is no longer considered "cool".

Regarding the city's undying love for the Knicks, KD replied to one fan: "I know it's a Knicks town, we got our own lil section though".
