It's Confirmed: Andy Murray Will Play At 2020 Australian Open

Andy Murray will be welcomed back to the Australian Open in January a year after the tournament bade him an emotional farewell.

The former world number one will use his protected ranking to guarantee him a spot in the main draw, meaning he will not be reliant upon receiving a wildcard.

Murray underwent hip surgery for the first time in January 2018 but struggled on his return to the sport, withdrawing from several tournaments over the course of the year to focus on rehab.

In the recently concluded China Open, Murray managed to reach the quarter-final stage where he was defeated by eventual champion Dominic Thiem.

But he rediscovered his competitive spark after losing an epic five-setter to Roberto Bautista Agut, and opted instead to undergo hip resurfacing surgery and back himself to return to competitive tennis. "I was on the phone to his agent this morning".

However, Fury and Strowman could use the event to continue to plant the seeds for a showdown at Wrestlemania 36 in April. The boxer is now preparing for his big rematch with Wilder, which is expected to take place on February 22 in Las Vegas.

After winning Queens with Feliciano Lopez, he played SW19 mixed doubles with Serena Williams but has since been back in singles action.

"He is ready to return". "Confirmed: Andy Murray will return to compete at the Australian Open in 2020", read the tweet. Remember he said goodbye a year ago.

"For sure Andy will be here", Tiley told the Australian radio station Triple M on Tuesday. He dropped a set in the opening round against Juan Ignacio Londero before sealing the match 2-6, 6-2, 6-3. After that, he has returned to the ATP Tour following a comeback via doubles and the Challenger Tour.

"I can play with limitations". He said I don't know, and I know what I said, I said, but I think he just wanted to get better for his life in general.
