Wenger speaks out on Nicolas Pepe’s slow start to his Arsenal career

This week, Arsene Wenger was inducted into the Legends of Football Hall of Fame, picking up the 2019 award at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House luxury hotel in London.

"He's not yet completely adapted and you have to give him some time".

The Frenchman left the club in the summer of 2018 after a 22-year spell in North London.

"It's a situation where suddenly you get a really good victory, you get confidence back in the side".

"Boss, congratulations. Another honour, well deserved".

"You loved the competition".

Vieira, Wenger's captain at Highbury between 2002-05, also hailed his former manager for changing the face of the game in England when he was appointed Arsenal boss in 1996.

"At the moment you can't look too much at the position because the points difference is very small", he said.

"For me that would be enough". I think that's probably the end of his career at Arsenal.

Wenger was honoured for his outstanding managerial career, which saw him claim three Premier League titles, achieve unprecedented Invincibles status during the 2003-04 season, and winning a record-breaking seven FA Cups while at Arsenal.

"I can't stop working", he added.

"I think it's disappointing that Ozil with that amount of talent can't find his way into an Arsenal team", Keown was quoted by Metro UK a saying.

"I think they have a good opportunity to do it this year because we look in front of Tottenham, we look in front of Manchester United at the moment and Chelsea is coming back a little bit, so I think we have a good opportunity to be in the top four", Wenger said.

The 24-year-old, however, has made something of a slow start to the new season in an Arsenal shirt, and he has only managed to score one goal and make two assists in eight Premier League games so far this term.
