Trump Administration Says It Won't Comply With Impeachment Inquiry

The release of the letter followed the Trump administration's order blocking Gordon Sondland - the US ambassador to the European Union - from testifying before Congress. At least three officials are scheduled to speak Thursday and Friday, including Marie Yovanovitch, the former ambassador to Ukraine who was recalled by the Trump administration, and two associates of Rudy Giuliani: Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman. The White House says the administration will not cooperate with the impeachment inquiry, calling it "illegitimate".

"The Whistleblower's facts have been so incorrect about my "no pressure" conversation with the Ukrainian President, and now the conflict of interest and involvement with a Democrat Candidate, that he or she should be exposed and questioned properly", Trump wrote.

"The Whistleblower has ties to one of my DEMOCRAT OPPONENTS", he wrote. You have violated civil liberties and the separation of powers by threatening Executive Branch officials, claiming that you will seek to punish those who exercise fundamental constitutional rights and prerogatives.

Sondland replied: "Bill, I believe you are incorrect about President Trump's intentions". Schiff says the State Department is impeding requests for those records.

PG&E may cut power in 30 California counties to curb fires
The strong winds will begin Wednesday morning and will last through Friday morning, Duffey said during the newsconference. "We do not have any information from PG&E about what areas or how many customers may be impacted", the post states.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff called Sondland's no-show "additional strong evidence" of obstruction of Congress by Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo that will only strengthen Democrats' case. It alleges that Sondland attended meetings in Kiev with Volker, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other Ukrainian officials to discuss on how to "navigate" Trump's demands and the different messages they were receiving from "official US channels on the one hand and from [Trump's personal lawyer Rudy] Giuliani on the other".

The messages showed that Sondland stressed that such a meeting hinged on Ukraine's commitment to investigating a theory pushed by Trump that Ukraine was involved in 2016 election meddling, as well as investigating the Burisma gas company, where Biden's son, Hunter, served on the board.

Three House committees are demanding that Sondland appear at a deposition October 16.

House Democrats launched a formal impeachment inquiry into Trump after the first whistleblower's allegations emerged in public. I have actually said that he has violated the terms of service of his Twitter account and therefore he should be relieved of his privileges. In order to fulfill his duties to the American people, the Constitution, the Executive Branch, and all future occupants of the Office of the Presidency, President Trump and his Administration can not participate in your partisan and unconstitutional inquiry under these circumstances.
