Euromillions £170m jackpot won by United Kingdom ticket holder

Euromillions £170m jackpot won by United Kingdom ticket holder

A National Lottery spokesperson said earlier this week: "For the first time in the history of the EuroMillions game, we have reached the €190m maximum jackpot cap for five draws which means that Tuesday's draw is an extra special, must be won event".

Andy Carter, Senior Winners' adviser at The National Lottery, said: "One incredibly lucky ticket-holder has scooped tonight's enormous £170 million EuroMillions jackpot".

He added that it had "been a fantastic year" for UK EuroMillions players, with five jackpot wins. But what are tonight's Euromillions numbers and are you the lucky British victor of £169 million?

The winning ticket for Tuesday's draw was sold in the UK.

In total, over 203,000 players in Ireland won prizes.

"It was quickly announced that the winning entry was sold in the United Kingdom, and the wait will now begin for the player to come forward and claim their money".

If anyone in the United Kingdom wins the jackpot, they will become Britain's biggest ever lottery victor.

If no one wins the main prize tonight, the money will roll down into lower-tier prizes, meaning there could be more than one multi-million pound prizes on offer instead of one big win.

The winning numbers were: 7, 10, 15, 44, 49 with Lucky Stars 3 and 12.

In June, one lucky ticket-holder, who chose to remain anonymous, became one of the UK's biggest ever winners after scooping a £123 million jackpot.
