Instagram removes a feature that allowed to spy on friends

Instagram started to remove the tab for some users in August, but has now confirmed that the feature will be completely phased out this week, according to BuzzFeed News.

"People didn't always know that their activity is surfacing", Shah explained.

Instagram is constantly adding new features and testing others but this week the Facebook-owned social media platform has chose to remove one of its oldest and most controversial features., Instagram has begun removing the "Following" tab from its Activity feed.

No longer will you be able to see your friend getting way too thirsty with his likes or confirm someone is ignoring your message while out here commenting on photos.

Browns' Jarvis Landry cleared from concussion protocol, will play vs. 49ers
Wideout Rashard Higgins has been a limited participant in practice and Antonio Callaway has served his four-game suspension. Cleveland Browns AnalysisBaker Mayfield is completing under 60% of his passes, and has made some bad throws this season.

At the time of launch it was the best way to discover new content because it lets users view what posts other are liking or commenting on in addition to the users they're following.

It could be argued that Instagram's removal of the Following tab was necessary, after serving as a sensitive spot in relation to privacy as social media continues its wraparound effect on various relationships. Starting today, we will begin removing the "Following" tab.

Vishal Shah, Instagram's product manager, told the BuzzFeed website that this feature will be removed in a future update.

I personally never used the following tab - I actually forgot it existed, to be honest - but I knew quite a lot of people who frequented it religiously and, my God, it just sounded like a panic attack in the making.
