Struggling Adam Vinatieri misses two more extra points

Colts place-kicker Adam Vinatieri sure seemed like he was about to retire after Sunday's game against the Titans, one in which he missed two of three extra-point attempts.

The Indianapolis Colts will also look to pick up some steam after their first win of the year, also coming in at 1-1 after a 19-17 win over Tennessee last time out. When reminded Colts players do not typically meet with reporters on Mondays, Vinatieri reiterated he would speak Monday.

Vinatieri has missed an extra point in consecutive games to start the season.

It was just three weeks ago when the Indianapolis Colts dealt with the surprise retirement of Andrew Luck.

"None of us should assume stuff", Vinatieri told reporters Tuesday (per the IndyStar). "I'll spend some time this week working those [demons] out", Vinatieri said.

On a conference call on Monday, the Colts announced they would be sticking by Vinatieri, with coach Frank Reich reiterating that the kicker would still be starting for Indianapolis.

Turns out reports of the death of Adam Vinatieri's career were exaggerated.

Romero said her home, located along a creek, was not in danger of flooding as it sits on stilts, like many others nearby. Coastal counties, including Brazoria, Matagorda and Galveston, got the most rainfall since Imelda formed on Tuesday.

"I'm going to work a lot this week to get those demons so I can go clear-headed, step on the field and just do my job", Vinatieri said, per ESPN.

Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri is off to a awful start to the new season. He holds the league's all-time career scoring record, and he has been as automatic as you can get since 1996. Vinatieri missed the extra point, leaving the Colts with a 13-7 lead. "He's not only our kicker, he's a key leader on our team". He has four Super Bowl rings and has made a number of memorable kicks, including the two snowbound field goals in the 2002 AFC championship game that helped propel the Patriots to their first Super Bowl title and two game-winners for New England in the Super Bowl itself. Atlanta is 1-5 ATS in the last 6 meetings between these two teams.

But Vinatieri blames only himself for the errant kicks.

After dealing with a lingering groin injury last season, Vinatieri missed part of training camp and the preseason with knee tendinitis - an injury neither Reich nor Vinatieri have used to explain the errant kicks.

Colts owner Jim Irsay differed, saying Vinatieri's mechanics are an issue.

"Looking back on it", Mariota said, "I should have run a different play instead of clocking it and that is totally on me". "I have no idea what he's planning on doing".

"I really think this team is special, " Staley said.
