Drew Brees Reportedly Elects To Undergo Surgery On Throwing Thumb

It'll be his second starting assignment since the 2015 season. Brees has been diagnosed with a torn ligament near the thumb of his throwing hand that is expected to sideline him at least six weeks, said a person familiar with the situation.

For Pittsburgh, that contingency is Mason Rudolph, a third-round pick in his second season out of Oklahoma State. Also worrisome: The injuries occurred to their right arms, the ones they use to make their millions - and help their teams compete for titles.

"Yeah, I am concerned". The Saints fell to 1-1 with a 27-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams last Sunday.

I have added some of my favorite players to target on this week's waiver wire and separated them by priority and position.

The Saints are practicing this week in the Seattle area before playing the Seahawks on Sunday.

Teddy Bridgewater filled in for Brees Sunday, completing 17 of 30 passes for 165 yards.

Saints Head Coach Sean Payton told reporters Wednesday that he is not settling on a single number one quarterback as his team prepares to take on the Seahawks without Brees. If you watch the tape closely from last week, you see there's some tough situations that I think would have been hard for any one of our guys playing. "It's going to be hard".

Call of Duty: Mobile release date, multiplayer modes revealed
Though the beta testing for Call of Duty: Mobile in India ended a long time back, we've been addicted to the game ever since. This will allow players to take their favorite game on the go or get new gamers familiar with a first person shooter format.

Few scenes Sunday seemed more incongruous than Drew Brees and Ben Roethlisberger on the sideline watching their teams trying to score without them. He was hurt when his hand collided with that of Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald. As it turns out, his initial feelings were correct, because the 40-year-old has reportedly suffered a torn ligament his throwing hand that requires surgery to fix - per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. "This felt like it was more significant and prevented me from gripping the ball", said Brees of the injury. "We've fortunately seen him enough and played against him and we have a feeling for him".

"They won't hold back, I don't think, " Carroll said.

Brees' injury also has thrown the NFC playoff picture into a state of flux.

Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana had a similar surgery late in his career.

So in essence, the Saints need to deploy Hill much like the rookie version of Jackson - a whole lot of running from him and others.

"You've got to know where he is, " said Seattle linebacker K.J. Wright. "When you get banged up, it takes a little bit longer to heal".

He opted to have Shinn, who is the leading hand specialist at Cedars-Sinai, perform the surgery. For the Steelers, it's onward with Rudolph, and next year for Roethlisberger at best.
