Raiders cut disgruntled WR Antonio Brown on eve of Week 1

Raiders cut disgruntled WR Antonio Brown on eve of Week 1

Just when it seemed like all of the drama from the last couple of days couldn't hit a new level, Brown's request for a release was granted by the Oakland Raiders Saturday morning, meaning the speedy wideout is eligible to sign with any team he wants.

How to Antonio Brown end up in Oakland, anyway?

Up next for the New England Patriots after their 33-3 win is a meeting with the AFC East rival Miami Dolphins, who suffered a 59-10 shellacking in Week 1 courtesy of Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.

Rosenhaus said the deal includes a $9 million signing bonus and another $5 million in incentives.

Soon after that move, Brown asked for his release and it was granted. We're really excited about that. He and the Steelers couldn't get along, and by Valentine's Day, he was ready to move on. He's obviously had a lot of time to think about things. "We've been emotionally detached from him for some time now".

In the caption, Brown wrote, "I have worked my whole life to prove that the system is blind to see talent like mines. Now that everyone sees it, they want me to conform to that same system that failed me all those years".

There has been no sign of Antonio Brown in Foxborough during Sunday Night Football, but it looks like the newest Patriot is tuning in to the New England-Pittsburgh game. The team did not say why or whether he was being disciplined.

South African embassy in Nigeria closed after retaliatory attacks
Africa's richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has reprobated the current xenophobic attacks on Nigerians living in South Africa. On Wednesday, Nigeria said it would recall its Ambassador to South Africa, Kabiru Bala.

Yes, the Seahawks inquired about possibly acquiring Antonio Brown this past weekend.

The Titans don't need him on the roster and he would do more harm than good in what has been praised as a great locker room by many. "But that's it for today".

ESPN reported the new fine was for $215,073 for conduct detrimental to the team. "This all started with him releasing the letter from [General Manager] Mike Mayock that he was being fined".

According to multiple reports, the Raiders had yet to pay Brown any money.

At practice on Wednesday, Brown reportedly called Mayock "a cracker" and added some "curse words", ESPN reported. The 31-year-old Brown agreed on Saturday to a one-year deal with the Patriots said to be valued at a maximum of $15 million. "I wish Antonio nothing but the best". I'm into work. He's into work and our entire offense is into doing what's in the best interest of the team.

"I'm not judging anything until I've had a chance to go out and practice and prepare". A week ago, he was warring with the National Football League over what helmet he could wear.

He filed two grievances, losing both.
