Huawei's 'new' P30 Pro ships with Android 10 despite U.S. trade ban

Huawei's 'new' P30 Pro ships with Android 10 despite U.S. trade ban

Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG), delivered a keynote speech titled "Rethink Evolution" at the IFA, and unveiled the latest flagship Kirin 990 series: Kirin 990 and its 5G version.

The videos are filled with vague inspirational messages, based on the “Rethink possibilities” slogan.

The new Huawei P30 Pro is now available in two new colors: Misty Lavender and Mystic Blue. Before the Mate X is released, the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro will be revealed first.

The Huawei Mate 30 series is set to arrive without Google support, as the USA trade ban against Huawei continues.

Qualcomm has such models on its 2020 road map, but this past week Samsung announced it's planning mass production for its alternative at the end of 2019 and Huawei is moving even faster, promising to release its most advanced processor with the Mate 30 Pro smartphone on September 19.

However, rest assured that the other HUAWEI device will still be getting the new software update.

Alicia Vikander is returning for a Tomb Raider movie sequel
Alicia Vikander is reprising her role as the lissome, treasure-hunting action heroine Lara Croft. The previous Tomb Raider film earned $275 million worldwide, and it was a modest hit for MGM .

"We were going to sell the Mate X last month, but we postponed that", the exec told journalists after Huawei's IFA event last week, according to Digital Trends. But Huawei might manufacture an even better version in the near future, packing the faster next-generation Kirin 990 chip that comes both in 4G and 5G versions.

The only difference to the original P30 Pro on the outside is that new design. As the first wireless earphones running on Huawei's self-developed and powerful Kirin A1 chip, Huawei FreeBuds 3 provides stable and fast connectivity, impressive sound quality and smart noise canceling experience.

Despite potentially lacking Android and almost-definitely lacking Google apps, Huawei has announced the launch of its Mate 30 series. Yu has claimed that the company will provide a workaround through which users will be able to manually install Google apps on Mate 30 series by themselves in the worldwide markets. The device will only be hitting market several months after the original is out.

The Kirin 990 will power Huawei's upcoming flagship smartphone, the Mate 30, which the Chinese firm hopes will rival Apple's latest iPhones.

We'll know more when the phone launches against the odds on September 18.
