Robert Mugabe, ex-leader of Zimbabwe, dead at 95

Tributes are pouring in for former Zimbabwean revolutionary, politician and president, Robert Mugabe.

Zimbabwe president Emmerson Mnangagwa took to Twitter to break the news, calling him an "icon of liberation" who will be remembered for a long time.

He reportedly died in a hospital in Singapore on Friday morning. "May his soul rest in eternal peace".

The bill would postpone Brexit for three months if lawmakers do not agree on a divorce plan before the October 31 deadline. But Labour refused to back an election while no deal was still a possibility .


Mugabe had declared once that he could be removed from power only by God.

While Mugabe blamed Zimbabwe's economic problems on Western sanctions and once said he wanted to rule for life, growing discontent about the country's leadership prompted a military intervention, impeachment proceedings and large street demonstrations.

In November 2017 he was forced to resign after 37 years of ruling.
