Sony Xperia 5 Price in India, Specifications, Comparison (5th September 2019)

Sony hasn't revealed the price details for the Xperia 5 just yet but if we take its flagship specs sheet into account, the smartphone could be priced at around 599 euros (roughly around Rs. 47,500 or $660) in European markets.

It's also a notably light device in the hand at 164g, which you can't say the existing Xperia 1, while the Xperia 5's dimensions are 158 x 68 x 8.2mm making it shorter and narrower than its superior sibling. It's quite odd that Sony has chose to skip the Xperia 2, 3 4 and they are jumping straight to 5 for what essentially is a smaller version of the Xperia 1. Sony has yet to reveal the Xperia 5 price for the United Kingdom, but we do know it'll cost €799 in Europe, so we're looking at around $880, £715, AU$1,300. It follows on from the Xperia 1 that was unveiled earlier this year, but this time there's a more compact form factor for those who prefer smaller smartphones.

Overall, the Xperia 5 feels like a premium device that can match the Xperia 1 in its looks but it's unclear if this device will actually be easier for those who prefer smaller devices. While the display resolution is lower, the Xperia 5 is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC as the bigger Xperia 1. It comes with 6GB of RAM. There's also built-in support for PlayStation Dualshock 4 controllers - a feature also being rolled out on the Xperia 1 - so that should make gaming on the go a little more intuitive. This means you will be able to juice up the device quickly even if it runs out of power during the day.

Celtic sign Greg Taylor from Kilmarnock for an undisclosed fee
Liverpool had previously rejected their loan offers and made it clear that only a cash deal would be of interest. He was one of Steven Gerrard's best players hence the reason why the Gers tried desperately to re-sign him.

The triple camera system on the back is made out of a trio of 12MP 16mm, 26mm and 52mm lenses, complemented by an 8MP selfie shooter on the front.

Sony fans could see some major news today with the firm set to reveal a raft of updates at its IFA technology show keynote.
