Raiders plan to suspend Brown

Antonio Brown and Raiders general manager Mike Mayock got into a heated exchange Wednesday, and the team is now planning to suspend its star wide receiver, league sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Instead, on the opening day of the regular season, Brown was reportedly involved in a dispute with GM Mike Mayock, and could potentially face a suspension. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network speculated the Raiders could look into going after Brown's $30 million in guaranteed money. "It wouldn't surprise me if Antonio Brown ends the season suspended by Gruden and Mayock for violating team rules." .

The Raiders are clearly already growing exhausted of Antonio Brown's antics and might want to make a move away from him a lot sooner than anyone could have guessed.

The Raiders open the season Monday night against the Denver Broncos. Brown shared a photo of a letter signed by Mayock that detailed $54,000 in fines. The timing may also be related to Brown's recent Instagram story where he expressed his displeasure at getting fined by the team for missing mandatory activities. Then he skipped the walkthrough, got fined, complained about it on social media, and that led to the argument according to Schefter.

He thanked the global community for its response, especially the US government for what he called their "exceptional assistance". The storm's maximum sustained winds Wednesday remain near 105 miles per hour (165 kph), making it a Category 2 hurricane .

Brown left the teams multiple times during camp while sorting out his helmet issue as well as his cryotherapy problem that left his feet looking awful.

With the Raiders suspending him, they're showing they won't give in though.
