New characters have been added to the mix, though.

Those who wish to play right now can play Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville's founder's edition.

For those unaware of this rather non-advertised outing from Plants vs Zombies, Battle for Neighborville is the latest title to carry on from the previous Garden Warfare titles - Garden Warfare 2 is rather good - in the series with players now taking on both the roles of Plants or Zombies to battle the coniferous fight for Neighborville.

Plants Vs. Zombies Battle For Neighborville has been officially revealed after a number of leaks over the past months. Squad up with up to three friends in the Giddy Park social region and take back Weirding Woods, Mount Steep, and Neighborville Town Centre.

On Brexit, British PM stymied by rebels from his own party
He said the British government was making substantial progress and would succeed in removing the Irish border backstop. Mr Corbyn said the negotiations Johnson talked about "are a sham - all he's doing is running down the clock".

Throughout the six-week early access period, purchasers of this edition will gain access to new free-roam regions, multiplayer modes, and much more. Players can battle it out with 20 fully customisable character classes, including returning favorites like Peashooter and Chomper, along with some fresh new faces such as Night Cap, a master of the shadows, and the funky disco queen Electric Slide. But, wait - didn't we say you could play today?? If you miss it, you can still pick up the Standard and Deluxe editions when they arrive on October 18. The game now includes co-op split-screen for any of the available modes. This early-access version will only be purchasable until September 30, and over the next six weeks leading up to the October 18 launch, the game will get weekly content updates to flesh out PvP, PvE, and free-roam.

Also available at launch will be Battle for Neighborville's version of battle passes, called Festival Prize Maps. The Founder's Edition is available to all players, allows for a players' progression to roll over to the Standard Edition at launch, and focuses on scheduled roll-outs of new parts of the game to build to the final game over this timeframe.

This time, players can play cooperatively using new classes. If fans want to join the fun early, they can do so starting today, thanks to the digital-only Founder's Edition.
