Manchester United considering a January move for Christian Eriksen

Christian Eriksen just has one year remaining on his Tottenham Hotspur contract and could start negotiations with other clubs in January 2020 and leave the London club on a free at the end of the season.

Now, with the windows all firmly shut, Eriksen remains at Tottenham with less than a year left on his current contract.

Real Madrid were the strongest side to be in for the 27-year-old but a deal has failed to materialise after the European transfer window shut last night.

"I wish I could decide just as in the Football Manager but unfortunately I can't".

According to the Daily Express, Inter will move for Eriksen in January if his contract stand-off with Spurs has not been resolved.

Eriksen said this summer that he was ready for a new challenge but a move to Spain wasn't realised, and the play-maker doesn't regret those comments.

'The most important thing is we focus on ourselves, to get points, to get consistency in the league.

She continued: "It's been devastating, it's been turmoil, it's been unrest, I haven't been able to sleep". A vegan woman sued her meat-eating neighbours for cooking meat. "All I smell is fish", she told 9News.

He further added: "But it is football and you never know what happens in football".

'For me it's not arduous to clear my head. I don't read much of what is written.

'And now I've been concerned for a few years, the place there have been many rumours yearly. But it's clear that it's been a little fiercer this year because my contract is about to expire. There was lots stated about me.

Reflect on Mauricio Pochettino's stewardship of Tottenham how you like - and fans of all persuasions happily will - but it's daft to argue with the notion that he has dramatically improved a core group of players and taken the north Londoners to dizzy new heights.

"You will hear him say, "I love the club" and all that".

The same article claims that Spurs are not going to give up their pursuit, however, and that they will be back in again "soon" to try and sign Steven. "There will always be rumours".

This season Eriksen has made four appearances across all competitions.
