He quickly underwent major back surgery and is expected to make a full recovery, but for now he's out of action and isn't going to be making any of his scheduled TV appearances.

The 40-year-old actor was involved in an accident when his auto veered off the Mulholland Highway in Malibu, California ending up in a gully about 10 feet off the road on Sunday.

As Kevin Hart recuperates from a vehicle accident, reported audio of a 911 call is giving some insight into the seriousness of the crash.

During the distress call, the undisclosed witness told the dispatcher that the victim - who is believed to be Hart - "looked like he [was] hurting".

She said "He's good, everybody's good. I got your back'".

Kelly adds, "He left his honeymoon to come here - this is real - left his honeymoon - his wife probably hates me - to come and take Kevin's place".

"He's great", she said in a video obtained by TMZ. "He's good. Everybody's good, thank God".

Hart, meanwhile, "left the scene to his nearby residence to get medical attention", the release stated.

In addition to Hart and Black, Black's fiancee, Rebecca Broxterman, was in the vehicle, which was crushed.

The actor was a passenger in his auto when its driver, friend Jared Black, lost control and crashed through wooden fencing just before 1 am on Mulholland Highway in Malibu, a spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol shared.

The caller assumed Hart had been the driver, despite officials saying his friend Jared Black, 28, was behind the wheel.

Eniko - who has 22-month-old son Kenzo with Kevin - has said that the "Night School" star is awake and talking but will need to stay in hospital for a little while in order to recuperate from the surgery and recover from the stress of the crash.
